AfriForum is a non-profit civil rights organisation that was established on 26 March 2006. The organisation was created to call up Afrikaners to participate in public debate and actions outside of the sphere of party politics. AfriForum is not an ordinary organisation, but a tool for us and our descendants to create a better future by executing AfriForum’s three-pronged success recipe for hope.

Our three-pronged recipe

Calling

Calling is our secret weapon, because it offers us the knowledge that we have the privilege to work towards something bigger than ourselves with the grace from Above.

Executive ability

If AfriForum and other institutions within the Solidarity Movement do not have the executive ability to carry out our plan, our plan will simply be an exercise in creative writing.

Fight and build plan

AfriForum is creating a future with a fight and build plan.

Our values

Calling

We all have our flaws, but a God-given calling gives ordinary people like us the perseverance, energy and drive to achieve success even under unusually difficult circumstances.

Respect

Self-respect and respect for others are prerequisites. It is in everybody’s interest to establish mutual recognition and respect.

Self-management

The responsibility for myself, my family, the community and AfriForum’s future cannot be placed on other people’s shoulders. Therefor we are taking responsibility for the future.

Our five core focus points:

Safety

AfriForum’s actions should contribute to establish a safe society in which AfriForum’s members, supporters and other citizens feel safe and are safe.

Self-dependence

AfriForum’s actions should contribute to establish self-dependence and growing self-governance under Afrikaners and the communities in which they live and work.

Cultural identity

AfriForum’s actions should contribute to the protection and growth of the Afrikaner identity, culture, history and the Afrikaans language, in order for Afrikaners to continue to permanently exist as a community whilst protecting their identity.

Justice

AfriForum’s goal is to let justice prevail on various levels. This struggle for justice reaches wider than Afrikaner interests and also includes justice in society as a whole.

Organisation building

AfriForum, which is simply a tool in the achievement of a bigger objective, needs to be as strong as possible to reach all the goals we want to work towards. For this reason, we need to succeed in our aim to strengthen AfriForum as an organisation.
